Just wondering about the 4860 triples... Could be interested in two (trees plus stem and bolts). Is this still going ahead or what numbers are we looking at needed to make this happen?

I am definitely interested in following up on this group buy, but will have to wait until things quite down here at the shop...been trudging through a huge load of work.

As soon as I get the time, I will finalize the list and get the ball rolling. There are enough committed for the 50mm style, but not sure on the 4860's, (I still have a complete set including the stem left over from the last run that I can't seem to sell.)

For some reason I wasn't subscribed to this thread, but now I am so I will get notified on any new questions etc.

    Thanks,
    Guy

Just sourced my forks (wp4860's X 2) so now calipers and rotors and clamps. Wanted to bump this along to see if there are any other people interested in the clamps for 4860s so that we have enough to make this worthwhile.

As mentioned in my PM I'm in for 50mm extreme conventional forks.

Would the specs for the 43mm USD forks from a KTM Duke II be the same as for the 4860s? I think they measure 53mm at the triple clamps?

I have no idea... but the 4860's are 48mm I think...I'm sure the original thread in oldcool's airheads will show dimensions.

Would have liked a set for the 50's but sold them in the meantime. They are getting hard to source in Australia. If this buy goes through I would have to go with the 48's as they are still obtainable.

The DRZ are also becoming popular?? any chance of them fitting these?

Got hit on the G/S yesterday and the forks are bent so really excited to see this group buy go through! Any word on when you'll start production. I'll live but I hate to see the G/S down for the count :(

Trying to catch up, but the work is still coming in faster than I can get it out!

Would still like to do the run, but just don't have the time right now to deal with the organizing. If someone wants to take care of that (like Solo Lobo did on the last run), it would be a big boost. If I knew how many to make of what style, I could order the material, get the job in the queue, and get an idea of a production date.

If anyone is interested in organizing this buy, let me know. Otherwise, it is just going to have to wait until I can get some breathing room.

    Thanks,
    Guy

I have just sent everyone a pm for a request of confirmation, style (4860 or 50mm), quantity, and who would like a stem turned and pressed. If I have forgotten anything please post up... I suggested that in 7 days times... or before if everyone gets back in touch... i would post up a final order list of those who have confirmed so that everything is transparent and clear. I will then email/pm guy this list and to arrange payment as he would like.

I hope this sits okay with everyone.

    I'm still in, PM sent.

And, if others are also interested in a group buy for a Sub Mount and Tower Pin bracket for a Scotts damper, I'm also in.

can we just reconfirm costs, based on historic pricing:

    - triple w/o stem was approx $370 inc anodizing last time round

    - triple with fitted stem, bolt etc $536

    - lost track whether there was any real price variance between 50mm and 4860s, but was initially quoted as +/- ten bucks

    - Scotts damper sub mount+ tower pin?

HPMGuy, could you pls confirm options/costs

A question to Beater, and others who are going with DRZ/KLX 400 forks, which are 49mm, rather than 50mm.

My plan was just to get 50mm triples, and just shim them down to 49mm using .020 shim stock. But Guy posted that he might be able to run a few at 49mm to avoid shims:
    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=17896993&postcount=142

We will need to confirm with Guy that he can still do this, and coordinate through Clay, So to those going the DRZ route, is there any interest?

Thanks Clay! This will be huge boost to get the show on the road!

Pricing will remain the same as the last run ($536 for the complete set), as long as we get a similar quantity and the parts that I source from KTM haven't increased too much. 50mm or 4860 are the same price, I think the price difference mentioned was because I initially thought it was going to take larger material.

    :

I would be fine with this, as long as there a few sets of this type ordered. I would have to modify the tooling a bit, which is not a huge deal, but I wouldn't want to do it for just one set.

Thanks everyone for your patience on this project, and thanks again Clay for the help. I feel much better that this is moving along now.
