What a sweet photo!
4x8 sheets will just fit inside the rear of the back hatch on my 1980 1300cc 2 door hatchback. Of course the rear hatch won't close, but there's enough room for about 10 sheet of plywood, 50 2x4x10', 30 2x6x10', 10 4x4x8', and a 12' 8x12 glulam. I had some other wood in there at the same time as well. Probably close to about 1200lbs? The car maxed out at about 35 mph on the highway with all that weight. I need to see if i can find pics of some of the loads i've had in that car.
That's quite a collection ya got there!
Do it! I'm no stranger to loading up vehicles so can fully appreciate. I've had 'em riding on the rubber stops, suspension fully bottomed. Wouldn't consider going on the highway like that, though; stick to secondary roads. "glulam" - is that a colloquial term for LVL (laminated veneer lumber)? I used that for my bay header and garage door headers.
A LVL looks like a sheets of plywood glued together. A glulam look like a stack of 2'' x's glued together. Similar concept for both, and both are very heavy!
Cool. I've not seen nor used those.
shop clean up OCD kicked in...
Been a while since all three were in the garage at the same time.
One needs to be sold, one needs headlight work, the 300 is ready to roll.
Since we're showing shop pics...
Cant really see my scoots (other than project bikes!) in this pic.
I spy either a CJ-7 or Wrangler driver side soft door.
Damn, good eye...yeah, off of my 98 Jeep TJ Wrangler.
Used to have a pretty tricked out 81 Jeep CJ-7 (painted Corvette Yellow of course!) back in the day.
ha ha, perfect! insulated too, proper!
convertibles in washington, hmmm driven like 1 month out of the year
Hardtops for the his and hers Miatas, the Vette...yeah, its a summer car
Although we didn't have rain for over 4 straight months last summer.
But we did have about 119 days of smokey overcast caused by all of those wildfires.
Dang... Nice shop! way jealous.
Welcome to the thread. Love the signature!
Yea we got smoked out too, pretty crappy summer...
All these picture-perfect shops... I don't know how you guys find anything with everything hidden away.
And Vincent, how the heck do you get these things onto and down from those mezzanines?
The smoke was unfortunate, but not all that bad most of the time.
