I'm also on the hunt for a spark arrestor for my SXC comp muffler. So far I've found this (http://www.promotobillet.com/catalog/product_info.php/manufacturers_id/12/products_id/37)

I've e-mailed them 3 times about compatability but they haven't bothered to answer as of yet??? If anyone has any info about adding a sparky to the SXC comp muffler it would be greatly appreciated.

My '04 is marked on the silencer USFS approved.
I took the end cap off only to find a empty (well, almost) canister. There was no packing.

Dont tell me I need a billet end cap also:huh

I'm long over due to contact these folks about the PMB kickstand on my YZ which they say they will fix free of charge from about 6 months back.

I'll make a tracing of the end of the SXC competition can and have them offer a pn for the correct sparkie and post their response.

Had the 'competition muffler' on my 640 adv.

    went with 'cycle buy' 888 284 4588:

PMB KTM SXSA with insert: $149.99

    also bought:

    PMB 01 9002 $46.99 rear disc guard.

motion pro fork bleeder: WP 43-48 with ext preload, $19.

They were really nice to deal with over the phone, when I had some questions about their website.

Hope that helps. They're out of Oregon, has I recall.

I must have installed the quiet insert wrong, because it fell out after a couple of weeks. It's pretty loud without it.

The KTMSXSA is the right part, though.

The muffler that comes stock on the SXC is spark arrested. The "SXC Competition" pipe that is available from the KTM hardparts catalog for non-sxc bikes is not labeled as spark arrested (and is $200 cheaper).

I guess I'll make a point to avoid them or go to an aftermarket exhaust with a sparky.
After consulting the bikes spare parts manual it appears the PO took out the screen, packing, and the tube that is on the end cap.

I found it interesting that the end cap is listed as a "Sil-end cap Husaberg sparky 01"

I'm going to give them a call today.

I just confirmed with Will at promotobillet, (T: 208-466-4762) that the KTMSA spark arrestor does in fact fit the KTM Competition Silencer.

We confirmed this after I faxed over a tracing of the end of my can.

These things are normally priced from them at $124.95, but since they are an old style and dead stock they are now 30% off since they are in their "Garage Sale" section.

I ordered one for my trusty steed.

Just passing on some wild world interweb info along.

Yep, the pro moto billet spark arrestor does fit on the KTM competition silencer, I have one.

Stinky finger, you might consider the silent insert if you like a quite bike.

Yep, you want me to post a photo so you can see it mounted up?

It still isn't anywhere as loud as the same sparkie mounted on my YZ450.

Is just a bit louder than the stock pea-shooter diameter outlet on the KTM Competition Can.

Running the PMB spark arrestor screen muffles it a skosh with a slight muted bark, but running with no screen gives a nice but not obnoxious bark on throttle and a nice low drone while at speed.

    It's also shiney.
