    KTM 2000-2007 RFS (250,400,450,520,525 E/XC M/XC XC XC-W) Thread Index

    <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->REVISION 0.6 DATE: Tuesday September 14th 2010

    This is a thread index for the KTM Racing Four Stroke motorcycles. It's structure is modelled after the excellent LC4 Thread Index created by Meat Popsicle.

    The RFS forum at KTMTalk.com remains probably the best resource for KTM RFS technical information but it is racing focused. The thumpers forum at AdvRider and the "dual sport" forum at KTMTalk is frequented by RFS owners who are more focused on dual-sport RFS ownership and it is the intent of this index is to document threads related to "dual-sport" use of the RFS motorcycle.

    This thread is by no means definitive, so PLEASE reply to this thread with your suggestions or send them via private message.

    Please note that all External Links are marked with the following red note. External Link AdvRider is not responsible for anything at these links; proceed at your own risk. As before, newest additions will be in Orange for a spell.

    NOTES:
    • Searching for threads. AdvRider has disabled 3 digit searches so it can be tricky. Don't whine/complain, instead use the Google site feature described here.
    • If you believe there is a thread related to a given topic but can't find the thread post your recollections to this thread and someone will try to help.
    • For searching within this page/thread, use CTRL-F in your browser window.

    :bow Great thread crazybrit! Thanks for all of the time you've obviously put into this. I don't know how many times searches on this site for my 525 EXC have frustrated me. You the man!

    Thanks. PLEASE if you have links (here on AdvRider or good info externally such as KTMTalk) please post them here or send me a PM.

    Also suggestions on how to organise the info are most welcome. I did the above in a couple hours but it's my no means perfect so feedback is appreciated.

    Excellent!!! Thanks so much for taking this one!!

    One question...I have a 2007 450EXC that has the enduro computer display and between the High Beam light and the Turn Signal display there is a blank plate with some wires running up to it. Any ideas what this is?

    I really dig his Terrain Tamer fork modification. It's awesome in the technical/baby head stuff.

    Please do not ask questions like this on the index thread. If you have a suggestion for information to add to the thread, an error etc then post it here otherwise don't.

    The generally appropriate place is to begin a new thread in Thumoers or attach to an existing one, however in this case you would be better off asking in the relevant regional forum for your state as the regulations are state SPECIFIC.
