I should have some time to get the clutch cover done this weekend, then as soon as it actually warms up and the trails open for the season I can test out the EXP.

I took it hill climbing back in June, the clutch functioned perfectly (and it rode like a 500.)

However I'm not a fan of it [rekluse] on steep hills. Turning the bike around with a unlocked rear wheel is interesting.... I'll be swapping to a manual pressure plate for any hill climb filled weekends in the future.

That's always be a concern for me with a Rekluse, glad to hear it's working well though. I still haven't gotten my CR back together. I sold my XRR and snagged a KTM 950 Super Enduro R. I still have a longing to build a KTM CR hybrid though :rofl

    Scott,
Not currently. My house remodel seems to be taking all of my free time.

And happy belated Thanksgiving to you as well.

Max, I was just thinking the same thing. I've been busy not riding. I'd like to get out as soon as my house is done enough my wife stops looking at me with that scowl.:D

I took my cr500 hybrid out to its first pacing through rocks at the Hancock dual sport in the Catskills this weekend, the terrain was slate and shale hill climbs, clay ruts, rock gardens, mud fields. The bike handled everything well, but I found it most happy when moving at a quicker pace, in slow technical sections, or when locking up the brakes on steep descents the motor likes to stall, even with the flywheel weight and the idle turned up. I think an auto clutch will solve for that, and them bike will be just about perfect. I see that rekluse still isn't making an exp for this motor, but they do offer a z start pro.

Any rationale for your build in deciding to make the cr250 exp disc work instead of the z start pro?

And have you tried any solutions for engine vibe transmission through the bars? A friend rode my bike this weekend and commented that I must of left the motor on the "massage" setting.
