720 miles and back home safe and sound. Thanks for the great weekend. Sorry for bailing out today's ride, she was really bad this morning. :sick We left hotel at 1:00 pm. Stop by at Santa Barbara pier for lunch and got back home.
I have some amazing pictures and videos. Especially "the picture of the weekend" starring Joel and his 950 is a must see...
Hey Joel, if you forgot about my 2 night hotel bill that I owe you, I may delete it before anyone else see it. You have until 6:00 am tomorrow morning, or else... :evil

I didn't make it through the 2nd tree riding with Herrhelmet in Utah. Broken right scapula. Gotta find an orthopedic surgeon to see if he can fix it or not.

i hope G is feeling better now. i think you scared the hell out of her going up the loose uphills, and downhills at los burros......:evil

ers, wish you and G enjoyed the trip as much as we did. it was great meeting her; and you are a lucky man.

my 950 was a handful but it ran flawlessly. that has been my 3rd weekend riding it, and i really like it now. need more time to practice in getting on and off the bike, and not in front of hundreds of blood thirsty harley crowd...:D
i'm thinking of sending the suspension to javier and lower it by an inch.

the hotel is very nice, best value and clean. amazing, it's just next to the ocean, unfortunately the water is cold and there are big sharks waiting for us to jump in the water.....:D

    Hi there folks,
Just wanted to say hello, recently moved from NYC to Santa Clarita. I’m looking for some interesting big bike friendly rides, at least until I get my KTM 530 (hopefully sooner than later...).

broken shoulder blades suck Tim...no rib or head/neck injuries..concussion ? broken shoulder blades take a lot of force generally and there are usually lots of other shit that gets messed up as well. if its just the shoulder your doing all right...heal up

hi rich, i don't think there's anything planned this coming weekend. put together one, you pick the place, date and time. i could not commit next weekend since i have a lot of cleaning to do in the house, yard, and garage.

intrepidrunner and i talked about camino cielo on the 30th, but from what i heard, the gate is locked. also yesterday, i saw the entrance to w. camino cielo from hw154 has big boulders blocking the entrance.

ohad, welcome to the local adv community and socal. you just missed a big bike ride last weekend. check out the wmrs thread (sticky) where many riders attending will be on their big bikes. post up there and someone should be able to give you additional info and routes.

many of us have small bikes and med bikes. you will have more opportunities to ride having a smaller bike, but not having one will NOT stop some PPs from having fun. ask fudge and fyyff, so far, they can hang with the kids riding toy bikes.....:ricky

pacific coast ride and teaser pic.

when i said, we are going COASTAL!....we actually did....:D

The gate at E. Camino Cielo is locked, but we can legally ride around it. We will have to do some old fashioned exploration for more dirt roads. Some of the other guys that have commented on E. Camino Cielo ride seem to know the location of good dirt roads.

I'm looking forward to our ride on July 30.:D

Another one :huh, don't we have enough Orange in this group already. I guess I am going to have to go out and by another Honda, just to keep the non Orange numbers up. :poser

Welcome to the west asylum. Plenty of rides. Be prepared, we like to break stuff. Bones, bikes it doesn't matter to us.

There are plenty of riding opportunities around here.

I know, that's why I moved here :evil

And as for the orange color, I do plan on compensating with many other colors as well... Living in NYC didn't allow me to own more than one bike, but now with a 3 car garagre and an approving wife, the sky is the limit...:D
