6am....they usually don't leave till 7:30 to 8:30, you have plenty of time!!!
Last time I was on the Pacifico road...there was a huge washout that took out the whole road. That was about a year ago...maybe they fixed it by now?
Why don't you start on Upper Big T and head up the Lynx turnout...there is a sign and everything. You will eventually link up with parts of the trail you are familiar with, and then you will know the whole route. The bottom part is not difficult and there may even be a fun water crossing.
Anyone near Redondo Beach have the ability to change tires? I need to put some knobbies on, but I haven't bought any tools yet
Hey Guys have fun...
I just got the "Tanker" back from the shop- $250.00 OOUUCCHH!! Please learn from me- USE PROTECTION... not just with women, but on your clutch case cover! H8chains, Artboy & Nick saved my butt from the mishap. Do carry JB weld for the unexpected puncture. I'm booked up the remaining weekends in April. Big Bear Bash is where I am going.
Where ya been?
Hope to see you out there again!
Been mending a broken arm
got an interview monday late morning.
can't ride monday, BUT........
i'm in SATURDAY OR SUNDAY.
According to the sign at the top of Lynx/start of Pacifico, the Pacifico route is closed from sometime in November (15th?) through, IIRC, May 15th. I may have the dates wrong, but pretty sure on the months.
On another note, the FS recording for the San Gabriel Canyon (Azusa Cyn) OHV area says that the Rincon Shortcut is supposed to be open again "late spring/early summer". We can only hope.
but good luck on your interview.
:huh BTDT. Too brutal. Besides, I need my beauty sleep.
hey pollo... long time no hear fro m you.... you ever fixed yur bimmer???
btw.... i am the guy that gave you ride bike home.....
I've heard the washout on 3N17 east of Pacifico is fixed but the road is still closed.
If anyone wants to go a little earlier, we (unrelated group) are meeting at Jays Shell in La Canada at 6:30 am and rding Upper Big T to Lynx to Pacifico if it is open. Two XR650Rs and a DRZ400. If you see us on the trail, stop us and say hi.

There's a chatter on another thread (Angeles Crest) and do some pavement pounding and draggin heels (pasta style).

Met all the FFs at the old and new again meeting place. The morning started well, someone tipped us off about the CHP in Little T. We started easy and we eventually run onto him as law abiding citizens.
We're back again at the usual meeting place....the 7-11 adjacent to Osbourne.
