Pretty dry out there. I finished the day with a nice layer of dust all over me but I'm willing to bet Nowwhat's air filter is nice and clean.

Pirelli MT-21 is a good option at a slightly lower price.

    yeah, finally.

    after 2 years or so...finally

if it wasn't for the love for old bikes, and the xr400'S simplicity and reliability, i would have taken another route. the time put in and $ spent were all put to good use......hahaha, i could have bought a newer bike....:baldy

thinking it will never be put together, santa felt sorry and gave me this.

No more noob excuses Joel. And it will be the lightest bike to pick up. How much for the barely broken in 540?

    thanks for the replies.

i'm quite excited. it's a street legal 350. easy to handle and control, really smooth and it feels suitable for my kind of riding - leisure pace and mild off road. thought of the 500, since both are almost of the same price, more bang for the buck. well, i believe in riding a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow.....so 350 for me.

oil change requires that the bike be laid on the ground to fill the oil filter sump with oil.....at 242# dry, it was easy to pick up....:lol3

the other small ktm i have is a bored out 525 with full set up. it's a lot of bike for me, always angry and wants fast (ready to race).- the bike has to go, and has a few dibs already.

wish i found a slightly used 350 with farkles, but my search got me nowhere. like many of you, i'm going through the expense of installing stuff on the bike such as cooling fan, skid plate, folding mirrors, bigger rear sprocket which requires a longer chain, etc. so far the best piece i have now is a seat from seat concept. comfy and good quality.

the bike is very tall, over 38" and my inseam is 32"......:eek1, the suspension is also soft. so, i'm planning to take it to george's (esp) and get it lowered by 3/4" and put stiffer springs. may have to wait for a few more weeks before i could really take it out

won't be looking for another bike for a long time..

having 2 light bikes sounds good to me. i plan to ride the xr400 for light adventure riding and the 350 for day rides...:ricky

meantime, my 640e is my favorite ride. taking it to baja from 27th - 31st. about 6-8 of us, so if any of you are or will be down there - ..:wave

those wondering about the annual carrizo ride this january, IT'S ON, PM me and i'll get you the details once we get it fully figured out.

Nice! Congrats on the new bike Joel! The big question of course is...does it have shaft drive? :evil:lol3

nice job Joel! and it looks like k t m has stayed with the tried and true seat that breaks the riders seat in instead of the bikes. looks fun!
