That LA AdV gang led by that NSFW dude, are a bunch of outlaws...
not really sure but it was DSM8 who was approached and told me. maybe dave just doesn't want us to become better riders.......
perry, i think we were doing the figure 8 and it made the cherrif dizzy....
or maybe because the bikes were being dropped frequently and we were seen as a liability....
hey, i hope you're healing up nicely. take care man.
i need to change to a different gear next time i go ride that area again...hahaha
nice air there mike....
City of Hesperia has very strict anti OHV rules. They love to enforce the regs in Honda Valley, the area you held your training day.
I used to ride out there in the 1990s, and it seemed that the farther north you got from the pass (past the truck stop at 15/395) the more likely you were to get into some kind of trouble. Lots of great washes between Baldy Mesa and that area to explore though.
I would assume that the Baldy Mesa trail system is still (at least somewhat) open? Harder to stage trucks in there (at least to access the west side of the 15 at the top of the pass, which is more fun IMO), but you can come in along the power line road. Just a thought for the future, Joel.
According to the officer (and she was a pretty good looking one too) that is private property and we were not supposed to be there. I think with all the trucks parked etc was what constributed to the attention it drew.
I did notice she wrote down plate numbers for some of the parked trucks so buyer beware.
I just passed on what I was told to Joel..
I have not seen or heard of them (police) out there for ALONG time
where u guys were parked was California aqueduct property, the fisherman and joggers/mtb bikes have been parking/staging there for quite sum time now!
the HPD has seemed to eased up a bit in there comi anti bike thing!
have u seen how many bikes are parked at the josn on weekends
I know of a few that were parked there a couple weeks ago, no fuss, no muss.
thanks for the info and tip.
randall, sorry i'm not familiar with the baldy mesa area. matt (rider914) certainly will know. he rides the area all the time and i've been telling myself to join him, got to do it in next couple of months.
yeah, i have to drive 75 miles to get to the training area. it's convenient for many, except me. most likely, the next noobs training will be some where not too far from my house....
How bout rowher next time?
haven't been to rowher for months. lots of good riding areas and not too far either.
brian, let's plan another one before the noobs rally.
