Carrizo-Pozo was always early January, from way back before my first run with the group about 2011. I would look forward to that.

After Christmas I'm working, then the kids are coming down for the NY weekend. I've burned all my vacation days for 2017 - come the first I got a few more weeks. :ricky

Late night campfire at 'frozo-pozo', and some familiar faces. The year it was 19* by about 3am. :D

Joel handled the dinner tab at Pozo Saloon...

A fun time at the saloon after the ride there... Arnie and Bill were both along on this one.

And camping out on the back field at the saloon...

pick a good date in January and let's do the Pozo-Frozo.

i don't mind paying and staying at Pozo Saloon. a little stiff for some, but can't beat the flat tent sites. with the cost, dinner is included. less we have to bring and carry. i don't know any other adv riders that were able to camp there. i's a privilege afaik.

high mtn campground is free, but the couple times we camped there, the local party peeps staying in the campground kept us awake with their blaring music.

La Panza camp, Navajo camp, or even Navajo Flats, within the Pozo OHV area could be other option for you guys. They're all in LPNF but some of them are supposed to be pay sites under a 3rd party concessionaire, I'm not sure if all of them are yet.

I want to thank Joel and acknowledge what an incredible selfless human being he is.

Tonight he came over to help me pack my bikes as I’m under evacuation due to the creek fire. He came over with his bike trailer and we had a little fun.

We decided that the GSA and the Husaberg were worth saving.

And he decided that my Harley should burn!!

Love you Joel. We need more people like you in this world.

That was so fucked up... Pretty sure if you go look, there are still some parts of me frozen to the ground out back.
