lots of good riding north of l.a.; having a gs8 makes it ideal to connect the house to the trails...
obk riders taking a break at the 33-lockwood valley junction
john seems having an issue with his 990 key ignition... someone ought to explain later...

No bar hoppin included. After leaving the java place @ 7:40 ish, we didn't stop for food tell we hit Gorman @ 3pm. If there was an indirect way to get to Gorman from LA, we did it.
No problem, glad to hear you made it home okay and I hope the thumb heals quicklly!

the weather is now getting warmer, and we were lucky enough to enjoy the pleasant condition and great company.
nicely done Joel
What a great weekend! It was nice seeing you guys again and meeting those I haven't met before. I'm glad Randy didn't get hurt in that mishap.
Here's our little RR:
My brother Han, Jo (jryden), and I met up @ Norm's in Huntington Beach for a quick lunch which turned out to be a long lunch
Han and Jo checking out his SWEET HM.
After lunch, we slabbed it north to CA-150 by lake Casitas to Ojai where Steven (MOTOSOTO) found us gassing up.
"No really, it's THIS big :eek1
The four of us rode up 33 where we came across a terrible accident involving a brand new CBR1000RR and a Toyota Camry. We hope the CBR's rider is OK.
We arrived @ The Place and got a quick bite to eat before setting up camp out back:
Soon, Martin (wheatwacker) and Benton (what's his SN?) show up and that's when the beer REALLY started flowing. I believe the official toll was 10 pitchers for 6 guys.
It got a little chilly overnight and we were awake well before the sleepy town of Ventucopa was. Salvation was at hand when they finally came and opened the restaurant
I think we're all happy we didn't get "Deliverence'd" and that we had hot plates in front of us
Gassing up before we all went our separate ways. Martin and Benton headed back to San Francisco while Steven headed to OC via 33. I took Jo and Han through Cierro Noresto.
Taking a break at Pyramid Lake before we too went our separate ways home.
Thanks again for the terrific weekend. Next time I'll try to get on some dirt.
Great RR joel we didn't get to the place until after dark really sorry we missed you would have fun to sit down with yall, eat pig:dg and here the storys from the day.
What a beautiful day to ride. Really sorry that I couldn't be out riding. Rollergirl was surprised that none of you guys on big bikes caught her up on LockwoodValley road.
If anybody has any lightly-used riding gear that might fit that smiley little girl in the middle of the picture, please send me a pm. She has a long trip on the back of a 990 planned and needs some better riding gear
heal up that thumb and listen to the docs.
i didn't think mine was broken (hairline fracture on the 'scaphoid', base of the thumb meets the wrist) and i could move all fingers, but the doc said i needed a cast to keep it immobile.
lets grab a Burrito King and catch up on war stories
Dude! If we both have Borken thumbs at the same time we have got to get a photo of us with owr cast!
