    Damn Jimmy Lewis....:lol3

Someone must have told Joel, "when in doubt...gas it"....

Joel got off line after a water crossing and started heading for the rock face...he was standing and just gassed it right into the damn cliff...:lol3 .....

Gotta say Joel rode...much much better and at least he tried to get out of this "oops" with authority..had he been more over the bars and gave the bike a little english....that gassing thing would have worked...

The "what the puck just happened" look on his face right after impact wasn't all that funny at the time...:huh

ooops my mistake, klr is a big bike and sometimes referred as a big pig.

my point is not in the details but to remind everyone that on small bikes while on dirt, we tend to be more aggressive and the risk becomes proportional; that what it seems in the case of the majority that are on the list.

good to hear no one went to the er this weekend......:wave

Real fun ride yesterday guys! I can't wait to do it again.
Next time I promise I'll ride sweep, so as not to be such a clean air hog. And sorry to FMF punk for following the wrong group at the end when I told him I'd ride Cleghorn with him, by the time I realized I was following the wrong group I had no idea where to find the dirt group. Too many orange bikes and I got confused:huh

jeff, i think the 4 of us did good; you, eric, john and i were able to apply many of the skills we learned the day before, especially the turning and sand.

That sand wash at the end of the day was....special. Get up and steer with the pegs and gassit is what got me thru. Had to stop and "re-group", but I made it. Fun day.

Motorcycles are dangerous big and small I think we all know that, I doubt anyone thinks that because there on a sub 650 bike that some how there safer. My worst wreck was on a XR80, I think people ride more aggressively on smaller bikes because you can ride them closer to there peak potential performance which in my book = more fun!!!:p3rryand most of the time the more fun you are having the less concerned with safety you are, any redneck with a beer and bottle rockets can tell you that. A big part of the appeal of motorcycles is the danger and that we are in an exclusive club of organ donors with a "lust for life". I'm not saying don't ride smart or skip on safety gear but if you ride sooner or later your going to hurt yourself. All the guys on that list are smart, capable and responsible riders but sooner or later your number gets called.

I get beat up on whichever bike I ride.

GS slow speed get off = torn Rotator cuff
XR4 slow speed get off = torn MCL

Proabably good I don't have a third bike, I might tear something in the middle. :huh

Maybe I should go back to riding jetskis.....:rofl

Poor Paul, the invisible loner. At lunch yesterday, Jeff asked him if he had ever taken a Jimmy Lewis class before. Now you've forgotten him. He drove you to the event and back and shared a room with you. Clearly he was there since he is in this picture.

That's a good story, have another one?
    +1

I have racked myself up on most every size of bike possible. I think the current count is:

Broke the right arm 1 time
Broke the left arm 2 times
    Left fibia 1 time
Left foot 2 times in three months. Both times with Herrhelmet and I rode out of DV once.
Right leg and left arm both at the same time. This was also with Herrhelmet and I rode for three more hours after killing my pain with Vics and Jack.
    6" skull fracture (street bike)
    Busted right wrist
    Three busted ribs

I know there's more, I just can't recall possibly due to the 6" skull fracture.
