Cool little local shop
I shop at Dirt and Sand Motorsports on 9565 Sunland Blvd. Sun Valley, near Glenoaks...it's along the way after a ride.
A-1 QS ,scotts..... ive put 3 of his kids through school
in 30 mins, see you .
The words "I'm broke." So broke I can't afford the gallon of gas to get my happy butt up the mountain. Thank god for the bus pass or I wouldn't be able to get to work over the next two weeks.
Back home. What a great ride! 170miles good stuff.
home,150 miles for me, door to door
Hey... I only got 135 miles. I got jipped!! Good times. You guys are a lot of fun. Thanks for making Clint feel welcome. Awesome ridn' Cathy. A little ice for your drink and a little for your hand this evening.
Lots of miles today....like always it was fun and good lunch. The ride home was awesome, no one was Angeles Crest, AFH, and Big T
Today was Cathy's ride.....John was able to drag Cathy to take BPL, Sito's Trail, and up on 4N24...you did well Cathy
Uploading the rest of the pics and will post them tonight.:fyyff
Trid...get your bike running right yet?
Can't wait to see the pics
all I can say is........ advil is my friend
Toby, Cathy, John, Paul and I met at the usual spot at 7:30AM. I rode the XR400 just to give it a little shakedown for next week's Kennedy Meadows camping and riding, today's ride ended up like a 145 mile loop with a half gallon left in the tank when I got home at 4:30 PM.
We hit the road right away knowing that the regular riders will be doing the Big Bear ride tomorrow.
If you like canyon riding, Little T is one of the tightest twisties out there...lots of fun
We didn't have a trail leader today....so we were all over the place
at the start of SCD from the west...trid
John on his 640A
the first several miles of scd is unmaintained pavement...good practice run for dodging potholes and rocks littered everywhere.
eventually we found dirt
i had a feeling that today will be cathy's biggest ride here in angeles forest
Toby is another GS rider prowling this place
trid's brp was sick today....too lean, back fires, misfires, chocking...etc :eek1
the 640a really looks good in orange
just after several riding days with the FFs, cathy made big progress
the dirt road we just did
nice view from above
the orange doesn't blend well in the landscape
john talked to cathy in coming with us down to BPL
BPL is probably the worst, mixed of loose dirt, thick powdery sand, dust, rocks, etc...
there goes cathy
she made it halfway with no problem, then all of the sudden.....
and kept going......:eek1
then we got to the bottom near the mines.........
you can see how nasty the road is...powdery dust and deep. i would think that those tire will just simply float...
took a short break at sito's trail
john gave that hill a shot...:eek1
made it to the top , so far only a handfull of guys made this hill, and i'm not one of them
john, next time i'll have the same coffee you got from 7-11...it makes wonders
sito's trail is one of my favorite, nice hard pack dirt and rolling terrain
the familiar water crossing, cathy is undeterred :eek1
trid makes a splash
the 640A has good water dynamics
this nOOb just graduated from noob 101
Somebody needs some taller bars, or a bigger bike:
bigger bike........I'll be looking....
Buddies wife went from TW to CRF and hasn't looked back. Maybe an XT like Quiksys would be good too.
going up on 4N24, i noticed that cathy's bike is a little too small for her, or maybe it needs a taller bar....
john is telling me he drank 2 cups of coffee from 7-11
it was a beautiful day
that bike looks awfully small
we don't see this mighty big drop when we do the full mood ride...:eek1
good following john, i get reminded to stand up
back on pavement on mt. gleason
i love hauling ass on this road
across in the parking lot they heard NOWWHAT is coming and they came prepared for a "rematch"
chilling out at the Mill Creek parking lot
i put the camera on self timer, and who got cropped out...
we're moving again..
cathy's behind starting to get familiar....
yeah, i'm enjoying it....
we passed by this sign many times but today we decided to check out the camp
really nice up there...fantastic view and cool, lots of shade, quiet, etc.
today's ride, no need to rush...we just took it easy and enjoyed the forest
time to head out to newcombs
a sick bike doing a wheelie....
rebarman did good today....no sleeping gs on today's ride
made it to chilao
newcombs at 1 pm
you'll always see nice bikes
john's friend clint and his victory
