A friend just dropped off a 2008 GSX-R600 that had 1277 miles when he crashed it. It looks like just typical damage - plastics are gone, shifter is broken, mirrors, and levers bent, etc. I need to buy a fuel relay to see if it runs but it looks OK for the most part. The best part is that he sold it to me for $1.
My squidding days are back.
scorpion, thank you so much for posting that video. i love the artistic flair that most of the stuff on vimeo has.
and congrats, duy. i say leave the plastic off, buy a leather jacket, and turn that thing into a genuine hooligan machine! just try not to too much.
Funny you mention squidding again.....look what I found in my long term storage shed
More to come.shes been under a bed sheet since 93 with 8200 and change original on the clockI wonder whats under the sheet on the left
ooh thats a nice early one...looks freaking clean
Yepper, got her I'm march 86.... Putter away half way through my apprenticeship in early 93 rite before my son was born in 94.needed to finish both those off before I killed myself
scored this from an old friend of my dads. 1981 yz125. fucking radiator is in the number plate. looking for an air filter and cage. may have to just put a pod on it.
possibly has the original tires on it.
theres a little bit of boot wear on the frame but not much.
the best part was it was a 2 bike deal. when my dad went to register this one they gave him a plate but my dad not knowing the whole plate vs green sticker thing said he didnt need a plate and just got the sticker!! 1985 ty350 with practically zero time on it. which one would you ride in "clowns of the west" :) hahahahahaha
my old man came to his senses and decided not to sell the trials bike and handed it down to me. i told him the 125 was only worth 400 so id rather just keep it because it looks good in my garage!!
yes both beautiful bikes
yes the early YZ had the odd radiator up high...make sure them seals are good on the steering steam or you start leaking water :huh
looking at selling the big truck and get a older Dakota (2.5l 4cyl) or S10 (2.2 4Cyl) ... anybody have experience driving up the 18/330/38 with a bike and few days gear ? how did it do ? Cajon Pass ? Grape Vine ?
