4.1 because it will add range and they offer good radiator protection. Kind of two birds one stone. Only down side is it seems a bit wide with knee braces.

yeah, i understand that a larger gas tank gives you more range.
    but you have a 125 two stroke. not a 500EXC / FE501. :dunno

[IMG] So I went and did something stupid yesterday. Decided to go ride BMX for the first time in almost 20 years...boy how tracks and bikes have changed. Going again next week on open practice day and will keep going to help drop some pounds I have gained since I have totally quit smoking. (Yes stopping didnt make me fat, substituting food for cigarettes did, think I got that fixed to)

Congrats on quitting, it's one of the harder things I've had to do. Shedding the pounds will be easy in comparison.

    Where in LA?
How long have you been riding?
What have you seen so far?
Be sure to check out the other LA thread - lots of riders in the la basin.

Been riding dirt bikes for about 30 years and street bikes for about 25.
I haven't gone on any adventurous rides yet. Mostly use the bike for commuting.

Forgot to add not any real technical riding but really nice scenic stuff and miles of dirt roads. It is popular with the side by side crowd so we are going up during the week to limit that kind of traffic

The group that maintains that trail system did just get some new legal single track open and plans to try to get more.

who's "the group that maintains that trail system"?
as far as i know, from James with the Mammoth Mountain Motorcycle Club, says they've eliminated almost all singletrack in the area. i still have GPS tracks of old singletrack but they've (Forest Service) had done their best at keeping you out.

the CTUC maps are available at Scotts Performance in Montrose.

and beware of SXS. they're everywhere up there.

Laemmle Noho 7 is doing schlocky motorcycle Thursdays in August. Tonight is overplayed Easy Rider, but the 31st is Romero's Knightriders. I'm definitely going, maybe I'll see a few of you as well, who doesn't like Ed Harris dressed up as a knight on a motorcycle?
