Did anyone go to the Motohelp thing last night? Any good info to pass along? I was going to go but was just too tired to deal with traffic driving there.

Last night was great. Nothing necessarily new or earth shattering, but a good group of folks.

There will not be an "adventure" route this year.
    Regular route with easy/hard options.

My two friends are planning to ride day two from Barstow to Vegas on these two restored Yamaha XS650's:

A 1970 mostly stock Yamaha XS650 and a highly modified 1980 Yamaha XS650 mounted in a Champion Frame with parts mounted from over 15 different bikes.

We did a shake down ride last Saturday to see how many parts would fall off and rode 'em hard and put 'em away wet:

I will be riding early sweep on the hard options unless my job changes between now and then.

This is our first year. My buddy on a GS800 and me on my 990A. What is the food situation like? When I hear people say stop for lunch, where are we stopping? Is it a pack your lunch and eat on the trail or do they run in to a town or something?

    Cant wait though! Thanks

All my buddies are out. I'm looking to join forces with a couple others on big bikes doing the ADV route.

First time LAB2V but lots of desert experience. B level D37 enduro rider. Riding to Palmdale from Costa Mesa, both event days then home from Vegas.

I also have a post on the district board.

Isaac004-I went to Motohelp the other night..but got there about 1/2 hour late (effin traffic:becca). But when I got there, I started taking notes. Good info/great people. If you can find a shop that has D37 bi monthly hand outs, you can find the list of gotta haves, nice ta haves and oh my gosh do I really need that...oh shit I need that type of things. If the place wasn't an hour away from home, I'd probably go by again.

I 'JUST' ordered a Scotts damper from George @ ESP. Gonna slap it on and do some rides to get use to it. Also gonna do the Los Coyotes ride on 11-11-12 as a shakedown pre-ride LA-B to V, and meet some other LAB2V riders. <label for="rb_iconid_16">[IMG]</label>
