Hey fellow riders suck in the Swamps.. here is a good spot to keep up what going on local...
Wassup from BR? Any good trails to ride down here?
Yes indeed...The Mississippi river levee... and on the back side of the levee... river road when you feel the need for asphalt!
The one thing we should do is get together and share ride stories and "where to go!"
I suggest you go N/W into central and N/W Arkansas.
We share our roads .....
Have much of a deer problem in your area?
no deer here on the roads ever.... rides I was refering to was other than our area... more of where we have been... first hand trip reports and share maps etc...
Baton Rouge and Surrounding area ADV'ers and gravel aficianados, if you haven't already heard, we've got a great group that regularly meets up for a Thursday Meet and Eat, and get together for group rides as well riding the hills and gravel north of Baton Rouge and NF Areas in south MS.
The next big outing we're having is a Gravel, Guns, and Pig Cook campout at a DSRL'ers deer camp in the Homochitta NF-2nd or 3rd year we've had a group campout there.
Come say hello and make some new riding buddies:
Dirty thanks for the chime in!!!
Hey HT bumped into you years ago at Enon. You were on your big GS back then. Seems you have covered quite a few miles since then. I'm north of the lake if your heading this way
Thanks for starting the thread.
It's not just helpful for locals 'cuz us out of state folks can learn a lot of local knowledge by reading along.
Really enjoyed riding some of the twisties South of Lafayette at Swampscooters Rally last year. Always impressed with the food and hospitality. Want to try a more mixed dirt road/twisty ride next year as I'm planning to attend again. I'll keep the thread marked.
My name is James Naquin. I am coming down for 2 weeks (4-17) in March for Mardi Gras and Family. I am from Houma and will stay there most of the time. I will be in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Morgan City, and New Orleans during the trip.
If anyone is interested in meeting up and riding that would be great. I am ready to eat, so that would be good for destinations during riding.
I am planning to head out of town for Mardi Gras. Thinking of heading out to Florida to check out the Clear Springs or Arkansaw Mountians.
Hightech, you still riding the F800GS?
Hey everyone. I've been lurking around the site for a few years now. Finally breaking free of the ball and chain so I'm looking to do more riding and sight seeing. Anyone around Shreveport/Bossier area?
