There must be someone else interested here too. Did anyone see the NLL Championship Saturday night? What a game. If you like hockey, you will love box lacrosse. It is an amazingly fast paced game with some of the hockey shenanigans thrown in too. Unfortunately, Boston could not carry a team at the garden, overhead was just too high for the number of us interested. But it was great while it lasted. Our old star now plays in Rochester and they won in a very exciting finale. If you can catch a replay, it is worth a look. A battle to the final horn.

The NCAA finals are in full swing and Big Orange is on a roll. Go 'Cuse! Rob Pannell is on fire for Cornell too. Could it be an all upstate championship? I am thinking probably not. Notre Dame has a very stout team with a kick butt defense....I am not sure Big Red will have enough in the tank to deal with them. But you never know. Duke and Loyola had a grand battle last weekend.

It all starts again at noon on Saturday. If you have never seen a lacrosse game before, it is worth a look. If you are in Philly next weekend, the semi's and finals are at Lincoln Field and the packages are very reasonable.

Fastest game on two feet. Oldest game in North America.

Played for years. Box lacrosse is very popular on the west coast with very few field lacrosse teams here. Lacrosse was Canada's National sport for years until we recognized hockey as the winter sport and lacrosse as the summer sport.

The Ohio State University better find some traction soon. Pannell and Mock are tearing them up.

Well, it may end up an upstate final after all. Big Red is just on fire, Duke rises to the occasion as shown again today so they need to stay that way...and Syracuse took a scare...they should be firing on all cylinders against Denver. That should be a good match-up; Denver has a great program for a western team. It is moving that way fast. USC is joining the fray and it won't take them long to be competitive I am sure. UCLA is supposed to be going D1 too, if they have not already. What a great championship it has been so far....three of four quarterfinals decided by a goal. Next Saturday should be an excellent show.

Good to see Rob Pannell having a great showing after getting hurt last year and having to redshirt. What a great team player and example he is. You can tell he wants this championship badly. He'd get my vote for the Tewaaraton.

Well, the Orangemen did not perform as hoped last week,.

Rob Pannell had a heck of breakout game into the MLL though, Tewaaraton, final four good week for him.

After this loss to the Rattlers...my Cannons are going to have to win 7 of their next eight to make the championship bracket. Can Paul Rabil do it? Of course he can, he is Paul Rabil! They played in GA where there is a new team coming they were talking. I don't even know where Kennisau (sp?) is, but it looks like a nice facility.

The Cannon's play at Harvard, they should be playing smarter shouldn't they?

MLL Championships in two weeks in Chester PA. If you are in the area, it is a good take. Sadly my team is out, but it is still going to be something if Denver can go undefeated all year right to the Steinfeld Cup.

So in a late report. Denver goes all season without a MLL loss....and then on championship weekend it happened. To the newest team.

They always seem to be right there, and then fall off the edge championship weekend. Yes, the same team won again..Bayhawks..very stout defense. Imagine that....defense wins championships. Where have we heard that before? Get those poles moving.

All the games were very close and exciting games this year.

    Draft is 1/10.

Have coached High school the last 3 yrs as an assistant. I really live the sport and my son made the all star team this year as a senior. I'm still going to coach eventhiugh he won't be on the field this season.

I bought him a t shirt that he still wears:

No he's a working man, wants to make things with his hands. Had no interest in going on to college. I think he may do some coaching though with me as he still loves the sport.

Another great tournament starts today! The Orange are looking better and really improving on faceoffs, but a lot of tough competition out there!

Yes, there are several teams who could come out on top. Baltimore should be interesting this year.
