I am new to offroad riding and was wondering if there is any areas in the Lancaster, York, Berks counties that I can ride.

Sorry , I was just messin with you. Probably the best thing to do is get a permit for the Reading Anthracite area in Pottsville,PA. Check online. Lots of good riding. Anything from open pits and hillclimbs to the rock infested gnarliest shit you'd ever want. You need the right gear for this place. Please don't outlaw and ruin it for everyone.

There is no place in Lancaster county other than a couple random unpaved roads here and there. If you're just looking for gravel, southern York county has a decent amount but they are scattered. I started working on a route that would connect them all this summer but work picked up and I haven't had time to go back and finish it.

Closest place of note is probably Michaux State Forest. Thread here: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=632871

Bald Eagle State Park has a lot of riding but is a longer trip north. Reading Anthracite is an option though I've never done it. Do you have a dual sport, or strictly off-road bike?
