Was thinking of you the other day Sid. Hope all is well in your world. Thanks for ringing in. I heard the LA news on the radio a few minutes ago. When the fed uses its best forces to investigate you for 2 years then drops the case, that says a lot.

I heard a rumor that he was posting again. I wish it were true.

It is sad that this is such a mess. 18 months later he loses the title..................... Alberto is a stud climber, that is all I know about him. Being fond of the Schleck's, I am not disappointed it falls to Andy. I think he is a great competitor and champion of the sport.

There may/probably is some truth that the best in the world cancer treatments that Lance got did give him some possible type of advantage. It is sad that someone like Greg LeMond makes unfounded speculations, diminishing him in my mind. There were many, many, many tests done on Lance. Other than the unscrupulous French tampering scandal, nothing has ever been proven. Drop it already. It is just sour grapes from those who could not compete with his superior efforts. Even as an old man, Lance put in a pretty darn good effort with some hard crashes.

It would not be an ASO production without some "soap opera" to go with it. So unless you think soap opera's are in the non-fiction section.................

I agree that Lance was the best cyclist in the world. I think he blood doped and used testoserone. I raced him when he was out of shape... He was still an ass kicker, but not like I expected. My bike failed me, but we were able to hang with him. A few of my friends beat him.

Are we talking mtb racing, which he did for fun?:ear Technical trail skills trump a high Vo2 max in the rough stuff. I wish I had more of both.:cry

Hmmm, then the penalty should not strip him of the Tour title if it starts now. I don't think it is fair to have it both ways. IMHO

But I don't eat a lot of cake myself.

Yes. He was hurting and eventually dnf'd. His motor is just an ass kicker. I was in top form and much better at the technical stuff, but he has SUCH a motor. I stayed with him, and may have beat him that day, but I blew out my equipment.

He was talking while I felt like crying. He just can't ride trail very well. On the road?...no chance. He is a machine.

I guess a retired, very successful pro athlete is more important.

I, for a while, was an Armstrong skeptic, but really, this has gotten old.
