That's just silly.
But I want to do that to my 109!
Friend of mine bought a Defender 90, awesome vehicle. 2 weeks after getting it we drove off into the bush to find some shit! dropped into a creek, dropped in, there was no road, 3 foot drop; water was shallow so no biggie, how the hell are we going to get out of this... just pulled up to the other side put the front wheels on the on the bank and just ate at the sides for a bit. Got a good bit of stream bank gone and just punched it! We shot up like there was a freaking ramp there, oh wait we just created one!
We did off camber stuff that I would never have guest would be possible. It was our chase vehicle for the Baja 1000 for 2 years. Stuck, need gas in the middle of no where, gotcha covered!
Given that the SAS pretty much get to use what they want, them using Landies pretty much since their inception is pretty convinving praise:
I didn't realise that the US Army Rangers use landies too!
Out of 5 Land Rovers my brother and I own ('84 RRC 2 door, '92 Disco truggy, '98 Disco stock, '04 Disco II, '04 D90 TD5 ST), here's the most interesting one:
new to smugmug... have a pic of my '95 ST
The SAS also like the U.S rifles m-16 m203 .Great book to read called Bravo two Zero .Written by Andy McNabb a sas trooper and his team that was caught behind Iraqi lines in the gulf war. Those look like smoke generators on the landies in the top picture on the front bumper.

The boat was powered by the Defender's PTO
Great diesel engine....simple is efficient...old pushrod engine....turbo'd and you're good to go....can run on central heating oil if you so desire...

Was that real?
From a long gone era. Probably why I am so attached to my Series1.
