    Not exactly the same...
I have owned LRs in the past. A few years back, I purchased a VW Tiguan (traded in a LR). A year later I could not stand the reliability any longer. I sold it and purchased an 04 Disco II.

All joking aside, I could not stand the non-linear throttle and the shift points on the Tiguan (which was 100% reliable BTW). My DII has been a journey. I forget the pain when I see her in just the right light :lol3

    Ah well.

I could not escape the powerful gravity.
    An LR3 has joined...

The D3 looks massive compared to a D2 never noticed before that there was that much of a difference.

The LR3 is much better built than the D2 and it has real horsepower - with a six speed gearbox it floats along at 2100 RPM doing 70 mph in almost total silence ( and gets 18.5 mpg doing it). I'm enjoying the 2007 LR3 I bought a few months ago. I just wish it was a diesel like the other two Land Rovers in this picture.

The LR3 may be the dog's bullocks and all, however the discos have the look!

The new Tilt and Tonneau for my Lightweight arrived this week. Because I want a Truck-Cab, there were some holes needed to attach brackets and such so I dry fitted it this afternoon, along with the new wheels and door tops....

I so want a S1 wagon. My favorite Landy of all time.

Very hard to find one though.

There seem to be more in Oz than elsewhere for some reason, I'm sure if you keep a look out you'll find one.

One of my good friends built this while stationed in England. He's an inmate here, maybe I can talk him into telling us more about it. It's absolutely gorgeous - probably the best looking truck I've seen in person. I want it!

Thanks Backdrifter for the shout out and the kind words.

I'm in the St. Louis area for the rest of October if anyone wants to come check it out.
I'm trying to figure out how to get around Missouri taxation nonsense right now or else I'd be driving it.

As an aside, it's kind of for sale...tentatively.
I'm headed for New Jersey in November and will take it with me if I can't sell it.

PM me if you think you might be interested or want to come check it out just for the hell of it.

I'd be looking for offers in the $30k range...

    Enjoy!

May be 205 but I wasn't going to check over the entire thread to see whether or not it had been posted before.

Is it my imagination, or is the Dodge not in 4wd and has an open rear diff?

Smoke from right rear and left front wheel wells (I think) so I'm thinking it was in 4WD however no apparent locking action on the diffs.
