I'm comparing graphics cards; It's my understanding that the AMD/radeon cards, such as the AMD Radeon HD 7420G, are better for gaming than the Intel HD4000 graphics card. Some of the AMD cards have discreet(?) graphics cards.
I don't really have any specific CPU in mind it's just that on laptops with similar prices, tha duals are 2+Ghz and the quads are less than 2Ghz....1.7 or so.

That is what I was trying to say earlier. Right now a sale item at a big box store will get you a hell of a lot of laptop for $500 or less. At my company we quit buying laptops through Dell, though our desktops still go the corporate route, because we can do just as well walking into our nearest big box. The last three I bought for the company were HH Gregg and Best Buy sale items.

Windows 8 also crashed my current PC. I had to do a disk restore.

Just picked my son up a ASUS Refub from Newegg.

    It's an AMD A8, 500g hd, readon 7420g, windows 8.

It runs minecraft like a champ, and it should be capable of running AutoCAD.

They must have put a whole new case around it, because I can't find any marks, scratches or otherwise on the thing.

Pretty happy so far, even with the learning curve of W8.
