Well my buddy Coopdway said he knew where the Vincent club was having their yearly get together so off we went Sat morning, I forgot my wallet so Coop stood me breakfast. Then we managed to find those unreliable old motorcycles.

This one backfired while they where trying to get her lit Justin didn't care for any of that.
Where else would you find a man in a MN Jacket, trying to start an English motorcycle that appeared to be older than he was on an Indian reservation ! You can't make this stuff up !

This guy rides this everywhere and has put over 30k miles on it since he finished it.
What do I find inspecting the K-bike an Aussie Vincent guy from NSW he probably built the engine in the Norvin that Luke was working on awhile back , seemed to be involved in prototyping replacement Vincent engine parts. Drove a K sidecar rig as a daily driver !

The most of these appeared to be ridden regularly ! Coopdway found 2 of them on a gravel road near his home !

The Vincent with the disc brakes reminds me of the story my good buddy Preston Petty told me. It seems that Preston was the very first guy to put a disc brake on a dirt bike which he debuted at the Inter-am race at Saddleback Park back in the early 70's. While sitting on the start line Roger DeCoster (still riding the works CZ) is reported to have said: "Damn Preston, you must think you are pretty fast if you need all that brake!". :rofl:rofl

Where were you rolling? I was just down in a bunch of good side roads by the rush river off the River Road the other day.

Sure know how to make a guy feel bad! Weather is great but being grounded means I can only walk down to the shop and make list. :banOh well your rig looks great, enjoy the ride and the season.

Screwed again as usual ! :fpalm Luke I need a opinion. Kevin couldn't get subframe and Staintune header both on, I hoped he hadn't tried hard enough. I looked at the header awhile and took the stock one off thinking it was getting noisier, back tube cracked 1/2 way around. The usual K11 bullshit.
I can get the staintune header on but not get all 8 nuts started only 6 shit.
I loosened the subframe and I can spring it out of the way, hopefully enough ran out of time this afternoon.

Here's where I need Luke's advice :-) On the right side (sidecar side here) subframe attaches 1. at rear frame mount on trans housing,2. bolts to bottom of trans on center stand mounts 3. rear upper engine mount, 4. rt front engine mount, 5. steering head,6. leftt front engine mount, 7.the last arm goes all along left side to that rear frame mount on the trans case.
I would really just like to cut that one off , I'd be left with 6 positions 11 bolts. Luke your familiar with K's what do you think ?

I'd be cutting it off behind the gussets on the crossover tube on the left side.
Unless I can spring it enough to tighten the header up ! :-)

You poor bastard, you're screwed :lol2

The exhaust manifold studs distort when people crank the nuts down too hard. That in turn then leads to difficulty reinstalling the headers. Whack 'em straight, refit headers.

The K11' header will always split at the muffler joint. It's a given, no ifs or buts about it. Piss it off and use the header pipes from a K100'.

If your buddies at the fab' shop can't come through for you, just spring for a pre fab'd collector. Lots of choices out there to pick from for that.
