Ding, Ding, there's your answer. And wasn't your guide or guard rubbing?

You said it was making noise.

No it wasn;t that, that was the rubber guide that wraps around the swingarm by the front sprocket, i think Dan means the chain guide that hangs off the swingarm in front of the rear sprocket.Plus my clip wasn't rubbing on anythig when i checked it after breakfast that morning.

I wasn't able to go -- does anyone have a GPS track log from the trip they can post?

    Thanks!

I counted twelve bikes at the start including my little KLR250, the group was kind enough to wait up for me while i peddled up some of the hills. Rain and thunderstorms cut the ride short. Nobody from our group climbed the steel-framed lookout tower with huge bronze plaque during the thunderstorm when we got to PA high point area.

Great ride and (for me) ideal mix of street and trail for a dual-sport ride. Amazing route and i only covered 25%? I took off after lunch in meyersdale, PA - from soggy balls. Even so, I ended up with 167 miles round trip from Greensburg, PA. This ride will be on my list to do again. Jeff, excellent job hosting the ride and researching this route.

Photo from Randall's resturant in perryopolis, pa before the ride.
