Would you happen to have a gpx of your route?
No, we don't use those gizmos.
Here is a rough analog version. Beautiful vistas alongs these roads and easy to find and follow, enjoy!
I took this pic last fall doing the route from the oposite direction and was just a small section of a big ride. This is just north east of the Painted Hills looking north towards Burnt Ranch.
We didn't take too many photos last week because we got a late start on our ride and Mr. DS was worried about his ticking time bomb of a bike so we stayed steady on the move!
Hey all, I just moved to Bend a couple of months ago so naturally I have been out and about checking out this Dual Sport paradise. Here are a few pics from rides around the area with a buddy.
Jack creek area:
North off Green Ridge
And a few from the Painted Hills

Here is Scarlet and the "Birthday boy" and NotAllWhoWonderRLost chilling by bridge over the Deschutes.
After a boozy night on the Cyclepub we took a morning ride out to Waldo Lake!

Hey come check us out on Sunday we are one of the stops on the Backyard Farm Tour
Thought we'd make it an open house at the same time. Come on down 11:00-4:00 and try out our free milk and cheese samples!
P.M. me if you're interested & I'll get you directions, look forward to meeting some of you!
Did everyone in Central O. make it through this afternoons storm-
Great seeing you today Jeff! That's a lot of work! Great products keep them coming!
Staci and I were at Jeff's place on the bikes when round 1 came through. We were going to go for a ride but saw round 2 coming in and hauled ass home! Sat on the porch and had a barley pop or two watching it come through. Pretty intense! Sunny and beautiful now. Looks like that same storm reached you up there.
Hey Thanks Mr D.S.! It was also great to meet LittlePosum & Hootowl. We had a great turn-out and it was received very well, Thank you.
I'm glad that you go home before it hit our place, it came down so hard that we couldn't have a conversation in the shipping container/milk parlor, trees are blown over the road on Swalley Rd. pretty intense. At least I don't have to irrigate pasture for a couple days! Well enjoy the riding conditions, hoping to be out soon with you all.
BTW no open house is needed I'm happy to show any of you guys around and give some cheese/milk samples anytime, just P.M. me & we'll make it happen.
I read that a man and woman ducked under the cover of a tree to get out of the rain (near Madras) and lightning struck the tree and killed the man and sent the woman to the hospital. Anyone know details?
From peterman's "rain" thread
It was a ripper for sure!:eek1 I haven't seen many storms like that around here since I was a kid. Rain was coming down so hard here at our house that visibility was about 50 feet. Donell and I wanted to go ride, but were watching the sky to the south and chickened out.
Bret was a local farmer about my age with a couple of school age children. Hope his wife recovers well.
Last week my youngest daughter and I were riding to Redmond and were some of the first people to arrive and the accident that killed the local Chief EMT while riding his new Harley.
Not been a great couple weeks around here.
Joe, I texted Donell as soon as I heard about this. So sad, but I am so grateful it wasn't you.
