I had a bad craving for coffee and pastry this morning. I started out in Mill Valley and made my way out through Fairfax to Pt. Reyes to Visit the Bovine Bakery. The bakery is rather interesting to me in that in this day and age of a double whip no fat super soy air foam latte with extra snoot they proudly declare themselves an espresso free zone. The pastries alas go from excellent to meh.

From there I decided to unleash my inner cookie monster and headed towards the Busy Bee Bakery in Inverness. They're supposed to have very good peanut-butter cookies.

Along the way I ran into someplace I've yet to try, Vladimir's Czech Restaurant.

A little further up the road I saw that I could hire a launch. Maybe it's a hovercraft?

A little past that I saw a bit Russia.

I then meandered my way back to the Bear Valley Visitors center in Olema.

From there I went back up through Pt. Reyes and up highway 1 to this relatively obscure place

After a brief gander at the old store front I headed out through the Chileno valley and down to the Cheese Factory.

It's a nice stop with a picnic area and pond.

I also saw what appeared to be a leprechauns ride

From there it was back out the Nicasio resovoir, out Sir Francis Drake and back to Mill Valley.

Vladimir's was good the last time I was there- 20 years ago, not sure now. Fastest 10K I ever ran was right after eating a big plate of knedliky with sour cream gravy.
