I need some advice from the Metro locals, please? My well-used and beloved heavy leather riding jacket's zipper has failed, and needs repair/replacement. :huh Can anyone recommend a good shop, preferably on the north end of town?

I'll plan on getting over to Motogear Outlet for a good textile jacket ASAP, 'cause I'm not gonna stop riding, and it makes sense to have a good alternative in the closet for later on anyways. Thanx in advance.

I used these guys to replace a zipper on my Acerbis jacket... Wasn't super cheap, but I went to at least three other places first that either wouldn't do it or wanted truly absurd amounts of money for the job...

stay away from rocky mountain tannery (formerly jerrys leathers in englewood). i don't have the energy to tell the story (the police were eventually called in to settle things) but learn from my pain and take your business elsewhere.

My wife had her leather jacket repaired at a place in old town Arvada on Wads. I do not remember the name of the place, but they specalize in leather wear for m-cycle riders. They did a good job on her coat. It is right next to the little Arvada playhouse right in that 3 block section of old town. I can drive by and get the name if you like., Just looked them up - Twin Peaks leather. 5655 Olde Wadsworth Blvd, Arvada, CO 80002

Thank you, Kind Stranger! I was think'n there was a place in that neighborhood. I'll look 'em up in a few days. I just got home from Motogear Outlet with a very nice, light Olympia jacket. Even with the weatherproof liner zipped-in, it's a lot more comfy in the heat, and it fits me much better than the heavy leather, too. :clap

I've been to twin peaks, neat place friendly enough folks. I was just shopping a new leather jacket. They had a good non-everyone else coats available but did want to push their custom made stuff, not bad though. Looks like they do a fair amount of repair too.

I went to Alexander Leather and Fur, 3437 S Broadway, Denver, CO 80113, 303- 934- 7940 for a new zipper in my 1st Gear leather jacket. He put in a very heavy duty YKK antique brass zipper for a very reasonable price with only a 2 day turn-around. Expert craftsmanship. And did I mention it was very reasonable?
