Looking at a new, left over 2012 990 Adventure. Who has bought a left over recently and what did you pay for it? I think the fact that the new 1190 came out would drive it lower than if it were a left over 2010 in the year 2012.

    Thanks,

    Josh

The rebates have expired from KTM on the 2012 bikes so KTM 990's cost more than they ever have in the history of the model.

I used cycletrader and found 5 or 6 new ones and the dealers would not go down in price. I don't remember what the price was because this was back in sept but I asked several friends who bought new ones in the last 24 months and they all paid less and its because of the rebates from KTM

honestly I think you should just bite the bullet if you want a new one. Or find a nice used one for 2k less

I bought a new/used 2012 990R with Gobi panniers and top case with 1800 miles for $12,200. I jumped on it when I found it because it broke my heart when the production on these beast stopped. I want to ride this bike for many years to come. I had my eyes peeled all over the web and there is not many to be found that are new or close to new without paying the $$$$$

The Columbus, OH dealership (Wheelsport) has a leftover 2012 listed at $12,998. I'm sure he'll move a bit, but I don't know how much.

I'm also looking for an 990 R, West of the Rockies is best for me.
Around $12,500 would work for me.

Not is hurry for the bike so I'll wait until the price is right.

I was talking to the shop at the same time as you about that bike. Good score! Tax title and license on top of the $12.2 made it a little more than I wanted to spend. Ended up finding the same bike sans luggage, but with some other nice farkles 1600 miles for a touch over $11k total all fees paid. Very happy.

Seems like the 990's are holding onto their value right now. Some deals are out there, but not many new ones left.

Bought new leftover a 2012 990R with crash bars in July of last year for 12.5 at Ken's Yamaha in Norway Maine. Seems to be the going rate and it was as cheap as it would get in July! Love the bike and feel it was well worth the money.

I am going to recover some of my expense by selling the luggage. I use soft bags. Where did you find your bike? Sounds like a great deal.

Did you check with Commonwealth in Louisville? Ed had a '12 for $11,900 and a '13 Baja for $12,800.

I bought the white one for 13k out the door in July. Did you get the blue one?

Paid less for the 2012 than I did for my 2005!
