Ha ha! That's right after we passed you today! In fact, we stopped just up the trail and didn't hear your engine or see your light and were going to go back to see if you were OK. I guess you were taking photos!

Wait, I'm confused. Only two bikes passed me. How come you didn't wait for the other guys, who were still getting organized back at the Ranger Station?

And you didn't expect me to go through that DEEP puddle with my big bike, did you? :-)

We weren't planning to ride with them Friday; we just showed up at about the same time. My friend wanted to explore the west side of 206, so that's why we were there. You should have seen some of the puddles we ran across; they could be considered as small lakes.

West side of 206 has serious puddles, streams, and deep sand. Very cool.
Did you have trouble getting over the stream where the bridge is nearly out on the train tracks? That was where I was going to put the duck, but couldn't get there with the big bike. It's hard to turn around and pick up by myself!

No, we turned off to the right about 1500 feet before that area, then rode some nice single track with a lot of tree knockdowns over the trail. Definitely small bike area! Then we headed north to Raritan, over through single track to the bridge on Old Jackson, then back down along the Mullica to 206.

P1200003.JPG So, the pipe in your photo is completely underwater now, and the water is covered in thin ice. There is no way I'm riding or walking through that. So here is a photo about 20' before yours. Close enough?

So, Al, when are you gonna drop the new tag? Spring is just around the corner. Temperatures in the 40's today, for goodness sake!

Good point. Forgot the photos last time out, and the rain started before I could get out today. Feel free to jump in and post a photo, although maybe a little more big bike friendly than your last one! :)

Your tag. Take your time, but don't forget. Even if you have to post your mailbox!:-)

And by the way, weren't you on a little bike?

There are tons of references to Locks Bridge online. However, I cannot find a specific location for this sign. Can we get another clue? I'm thinking about riding down there tomorrow before the rain/snow .

    Sure.

The river to the right in the photo has the same name as the road leading in.

You do not want to be on the west side of the river, as you'll then have to perform a deep water crossing to reach this side.

    Hope this helps.

I could help you find it, but tomorrow looks too cold for me. How about Sunday around 11:00 a.m.? Supposed to be sunny and warm.
