A bit icy out there this AM. I needed 4 wheel drive to get to work. Be careful out there.

MY plan since I saw the weather forecast on Sunday was to ride the KLR to Work today (up to pottsville) was going to ride to my dads, change there and take one of his cars to work etc, ride back home) I wired the KLR up for the heated vest and grips and I wanted to try it out- plus its calling for high 40's today. Anyway I walk out to the garage this morning and the driveway is covered in ice- come in the house and the wife says that the kids have a two hour delay due to the ice. Well I guess Im not riding to work today after all- going to the RAC office today for my 2017 pass. I will check the trails today or tomorrow - If they are decent - I will probably get in a few hour "practice session" on the KTM for Friday during the old lunch break.

Haven't looked much at the xc line. It's more race oriented and is not set up well for the trail riding. Not saying it can't just not as good as the EXCf or the 2 stroke. Hell I even started looking new and I'm cranky KTM got rid of the non dual sport set up 350...I don't care about turn signals and mirrors stuff. The 300 is leading my charge more and more.. LOL

cool, it seems to be an ongoing debate with a lot of guys at least with the previous gen, XC or XCW for trail riding. Some swear by the linkage setup and others say no. But yea, I think the XC is alittle more race oriented.

I know you are considering new, but if used is still a possibility, you might have to request to join that Facebook site I linked above, but your are joined, you can post on there an ISO add of what you are looking for and in what $ range and location radius, and you will probably get a bunch of replys. Just saying.

I'll be damned - somehow the lady at Reading Anthracite must have known what my favorite number was back in high school and college.

Yea me too, I will get mine more towards the weather breaking in a month or so...some of us don't have the luxury of farting around up there on their lunch break. Till I get my shit together, load up and get up there, its 2 hours shot.:dirtdog

question for you guys, from May 26 to June 11th I'm planning to be out on the bike on a trip.
do any of you guys have a small tent or sleeping mats or any other gear you might not be using that I could borrow?
Trying to keep costs down for me and the person going with me.

Now don't be hating on my lunch breaks - I can see RAC trails from my office window- they call out to me- what's a guy supposed to do.
