Lengthen shaft at the bell?

    No, this has nothing to do with Pavlov. I see that the Texas dirt bike has the drive shaft lengthened at the bell and not the shaft itself. Anyone have any info on this? Seems that this would be an easier way to make a longer swing arm.

    i've done it both ways and my opinion is to lengthen the shaft, not the coupler (you run into clearance issues when you extend the coupler portion of the swingarm and are forced into wheel offset changes).

    find yourself two driveshafts and a guy who can run a lathe, cut one and leave a pin, and cut the other with a mating bore, press together and weld - easy breezy. now you get to make the swingarm, that can be a bit trickier.
