There are a couple of people on this forum that do this sort of work ... I have tried the search but I don't think I have the right search terms ... Anyway ...

Can ya'll tell me who does it? Hopefully they can do the driveshaft too?

For those who have done it ... do you like the mod? What kinds of shocks did you get to go on it?

    Thanks in advance ...

There's a company that sells a 100mm block that fits between the FD and the swingarm. I think they even have some bolt-on solution for the driveshaft. lemme do some searching and see if I can track it down. I'm sure it was Solo that posted it.

I think you got the name wrong in your sig line. It's not just Dobber, it's THE Dobber!

You are completely right. My bad. Fix'd.

holy crap, fred. did you see these pipes?

You might want to show that to your welder friend and see what he says. I'm sure we can find a cheap GSXR muffler or something. Nothing less would be good enough for The Dobber :D

hope you don't mind me linking from your account, fbc. I can remove the link if you want me to.

notice the heat shield where it goes under the seat? It should be fairly simple to get a thin wall pipe with a slightly larger diameter and cut out a quarter for a shield.

Or maybe we could put a curve in a piece of sheet metal. You'd need space between the shield and the pipe. Maybe weld in a few stainless nuts around the pipe, then weld those nuts to the shield? In the spirit of cheapness I think you should definitely make it out of a stolen road sign.

If you have a single sided swingarm and need it lengthened, i'm your man. I've done a bunch of them and I have a fixture so it's perfect every time.
Driveshafts are a snap too! Send it to me here in So. Cal. and I can have it back to you in a week.

    Thanks,
    Jim
