Yeah, my basic kit is the same for one night or one month or one year....
My one week kit is twice the size of my 1 month kit, the difference being for 1 week I want to be fully self-sufficient.... For 1 month I have to shop so I don't even try to carry as much... Kay-cera....

but it doesnt have to be, lots of folks get stuck on a name brand or a particular item they've seen someone else use. there is almost always a much cheaper alternative.

Yeah but it is quality! This tent has been every where, used 100’s of times. With stood massive storms, snow. Back when I bought it there wasn't the range of tents around as there is today, you can spend $30 and get a tent the same size and weight

This is the bike packed up and I'm actually on my way home in this pic. About 3 hours of bitumen to go.

This is the campsite and all unpacked. I have dinner cooking on the gas stove.

The trip consisted of about 100km of gravel road. You can see lots of smoke in the background and this is burn-off season before Australia's hot summer hits. On this morning, it was quite cold.

The last pic is looking South East towards the Pacific Ocean and the lookout is about 140km or so South West of Grafton.
