I have to say, if and when I repaint mine, it will have to be black. They just look soooooo good.

Mine is being painted rite now. I picked Mini Cooper Midnight Black. In the sun you can see a hint of dark blue metalic. The side panels are going to be such a dark grey, it will look black unless it's in the sun. It should lighten up a few shades then with the metalic. With Rick Dangers graphics it's gonna be a stud-muffin. :clap I'll post a pic when I get-er-done.

oh and the tankbag rocks!!! I love it! Can fit heaps of junk in there - change of clothes, sixpack of beer, laptop, etc etc etc...

Also fitted a RAM mount for my Garmin Etrex Legend-C which I am still waiting for on back order....

This is the only pic I have so far. I need to take some more to show the additions I put in by the cluster.

The pic is a little out of focus. It was brutally cold and getting dark. I had the exposure on the camera wide open to let in as much light as possible but holding the camera still was difficult at best.

I have all 3 BMW system cases. They survived the wreck from my old GS. I also have a Wolfman Luggage Explorer Lite tankbag.

I added in a Touratech GPS bar above the cluster and the lock TT GPS Mount for my 276C. Last night after picking it up from the 600 mile service the Cee Bailey +4/+2 windscreen was in so that's been mounted as well.

On the back I have the Brite Lites LED brake lights. These mount in addition to the stock brake light and pulsate when the brakes are applied. I really like them and they really stand out in the dark.

I also added in a Helmet Lock on the back below the Brite Lites. This gives me two keyed locks for helmets. The stock helmet locks are a pain to get at and using these locks leaves room in the system cases.

I hope to get some more pics this weekend and post them. I have on order some Fastway pegs as well.

I love my GS and barring someone from making a left hand turn across traffic in front of me, hope to have this one for quite some time.

On a general note the more I see these bikes the more I know was right to get one.

I have to say after 35 years here, I like it best in the summer (Tahoe) or as us old timers say "We movied here for the Skiing but have stayed for the Summers."

Shovled the drive twice already today...

This is how you get thru chain control on snow days. Thanks for the Welcome, great site.

Wunderlich sell snow chains for the GS. Wonder what chain control would make of that :evil.

There are conditions where CalTrans insists on snow chains in order to pass. Rt. 80 is home to donner pass, named after infamous migration of the "Donner party," and if you want to use that road in winter you may be required to install chains on your vehicles tires. (Google "donner party" for details)
