I don't know why BMW can't make these bikes more efficient. I can't get but 51 mpg out of mine and can only go 409 miles before I need more fuel. :lol3
600 lbs and 125 HP. Cuts the wind and rides like dream. Wow! What a ride.

Last ride of the year......the high 45 degrees, the low 30 degrees. Most of both days 36 to 42. Some sleet , some rain.

Twisty tarmac, gravel, mud bogs and a creek crossing.

BBQ chicken, ribs and pulled pork. Bacon egg and cheese bicuits.

A campfire, a drink or two and great riding buddies!!!!

Awesome way to close out the year!!!

I managed 36.1 on a 400 mile ride home this week. Cruise set to 75, cool weather, not much wind.
Bike has just over 1000 miles on it now and has never done better than 41.
    Odd.

You must drive slower and keep in highest gear my son. Then you will reach mpg nirvana. However if you do this engine braking is nill in the tight corners and so is acceleration. Do not lug make sure you are level or going down hill accelerate like a turtle. Or rev piss out of bike it's only money.

If it makes you feel any better, you may like to know that my mileage has dropped off considerately to 46-47 MPG. Just over 3,600 miles on it.

I don't worry about mileage, gas is pretty cheap, and they seem to sell it everywhere. (at least everywhere I go).

New to me a month ago. 2006 1200GS with Adventure spec rear rack fitted. It also had a Touratech beak fitted but I took it off and sold it. I prefer the saw tooth standard front end. Put about 500 miles on it so far on short runs and really pleased how it rides, especially as it has 51,000 miles under it's belt. I think the full service history has helped somewhat.

Well it's been a warm winter in the south. That has us thinking its time to feast on some fresh crawfish!

We like this little place in Rayne, LA called Hawks and sure enough it opened for the season last Friday night.

A few texts to some buddies and a RTE is set.......leave Saturday morning and dine on mud bogs that night!

A Hexhead, a twin cam and water cooled ....... 620 miles and dinner with friends.......hard to beat.
