No, but you can fit ten helmets in each if you attach two fifty gallon drums.:D

    Gentlemen,
I just registered as an adventurerider today. Retired the end of November, bought a new R1200GS and am planning a trip to Alaska in July or August, no firm dates. Was wondering if anybody is going that way during that time.
Would like to hook up with somebody, not a must, will travel alone.
    Thanks..

    tbrode,

welcome! go to some riders clubs, events, rallies in your area and you'll meet lots of riders, that is a good way to meet riding friends and you'll probably find some to ride legs of your trips with!

    Peace.

HAHAHAHA. This is expensive Touratech gear!! You can't fit even one helmet in. You can however hold 41 litres of water if you like and it will not get contaminated by the outside world. The leeching of aluminium into the water however may pose a risk to your long term health........

    Seriously - no helmets.

Never really thought about it though, I've never needed to put my helmet in one of my panniers. Friends at laguna seca had both of their's nicked and they were very securely fastened to their bikes.......

Who say that GS1200 is not off road bike?
That day we made 220 km distance for 11 hours riding . No food , we had only our water with us. We must drive this road because on mountains ( where we passed few days ago was blocked with snow.

Great trip, Alex! We need a ride report on it. I'm curious, is the reflective tape your own doing or was it a kit? If so, from whom?

Great pics, Alex! I just love seeing a properly dirty 12GS! Couple of questions:

    - Is the relflective tape on your bags a kit, or did you buy some and cut it up?
    - Did you do that your custom paintwork? And did you come up with the design?

I see few guys asking about My reflective tape on the bike.
It is realy great , because can be see from very far. I have tape also on the back on my side cases, and is made by my friend (custom made) .
Been riding many off roads , and many times bike been washed, and sticker is still there. I bought sticker size 100 cm x 100 cm and been cut.
