mbabc, that's one trick looking bike! I hope you get out and enjoy it often.
After: in progress
Yamaha DT1 as I bought it.
Another DT1 as I bought it.
Here is part #1 GS1000 left for dead
Part #2 of GS1000 left for dead
1965 Ducati Monza......believe it or not, done on a very low budget. Of course that's good, since they aren't worth squat. I've been a sucker for orphan bikes for way too long.
.............or how about this one...........my favorite, 1955 BMW R50
......................oh wait, there's more
OK, how about a 1973 1/2 250GP Maico ARHMA racer
........then there's the BMW R80 G/S "mexico bike".
YUMMM I would love to have a Monza or a Diana. Nice job.
Thanks......I keep thinking we need a small bike vintage event or Giro here in the front range. I'm trying to cull the herd so that I have nothing in the garage that I don't ride regularly. That would mean both ARHMA bikes need to go, but I'm having a hard time putting them up for sale. There's a bunch more bikes in the garage besides what I've posted here and the "simplify" goal is to fit everything in a one car garage.
Like the paint job!!
This thread does my heart good seeing the old bikes brought back to there original glory and not chopped up.
Good job everyone.
I did this one quite a few years ago.
This before shot doesn't show the multiple tank dents, rusty parts, scratches or oil leaks but it had plenty of each.
And after -
