:deal Most of Dead Poets Society was actually filmed at St. Andrew's School in Middletown, DE.

(Though the school was supposed to be in VT.)

and the horse head scene from The Godfather was filmed at Falaise in Sands Point ... sorry, no bike in the picture, not even a headless one!

I hope to be adding to this, turns out there were a ton of movies shot on Long Island!

    Friday The 13th

Since Halloween is approaching, I thought this location was appropriate. These are filming locations are from in and around Blairstown and Hope NJ.

When movie character Annie approached the main street, she headed up towards the Old Mill

Ok, finally had a chance to get a couple:

Haven't seen either of these to confirm, but apparently one of the last scenes of Behind the Candelabra - a press conference with the character played by Dan Akroyd, was filmed on the steps of Palm Springs City Hall. It apparently was also the scene of a student-protest/party in the campy 80's movie Fraternity Vacation:

This one I have seen - the convenience store near the beginning of Rain Man, where Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman stop to get suncreen:

    for reference:

In the process of looking 'em up on the internet, I discovered an article that listed at least a dozen other nearby places in movies both old and modern...this could take awhile...

Ha! I saw your pic before I scrolled down enough to see the video, and I totally thought "war of the worlds"! It is so rare that I watch a Tom Cruise movie, that I was proud of myself :rofl

In Georgetown? I used to have so much fun down there....not exactly on those steps, though...

OK - there has to be someone out there that is in Vancouver - they could pretty much take a shot of their bike on any street corner, and there is a chance it was in some movie or TV show.

I will allot 500 bonus points to anyone that gets a pic of their bike in or around Terminal City Ironworks - I sooooo want to get a pic of my speed triple inside that place - the perfect bike for a post-apocalyptic-industrial setting....I know there is someone up there I can live vicariously through...:D

That place has been used in a bunch of movies over the past 20 or so years. Always drove me crazy when they would film civil war era movies and shut the road down so no cars would be in the background.
