    Yes, they were anodised gold, std in 1980.

    I love the GS, I had a GS750, 850 shaft drive and the mighty GS1000. No photos of them (shame). Your bike looks great.

    Always wanted a GS 1000. Never got around to getting one though. Had a GS 550 that was probably my favorite bike. I could ride that thing all day in comfort. Handled great for it's day, too. It could've used a little more horsepower and torque, but all in all it was a great bike.

    My favourites were the FZR1000, Canam, Fireblade and Speed Triple. The worst were the Thunderbird Sport, T120 and the Harley Deuce. The Road King was stupid heavy but ok on the open road.
