Dang, Arch...how many bikes y'all go over thar?
Yea Arch, you want to adopt a 42 year old?
and a 27 year old?
A Cpl pics of a friends bike. Riding this Beemer is what got me wanting the DL650 as soon as it was introduced :huh
It was a dark and stormy night...
Beautiful Norway. Very nice. As for the bike wish mine were the black and white checker. The 06 is to garish for me. Maybe I'll repaint it.
First of all, no adoptees accepted! Besides, I'm only 45, so it'd be extra weird. We've actually downsized in the past year, selling off a few scoots to simplfy things a bit. So now we have...
<!--StartFragment -->650GS - hers
TT-R125 - hers
1150GS - mine
LC4 Adventure - mine
525 EXC - mine
900SS - mine
Guess one could say that we like thumpers & twins.
Here's my bike at the BMWMOA National Rally last summer with my buddy Bob's Bumblebeemer...
Another of me caught taking a break on an evening ride.....
Yes, it is bright and yes, I color matched the paint job I put on it to the sleeves on my riding suit!
This bike was trailered from wisconsin, but once I got it to Colorado, the riding was great.
p.s. it's for sale - 2003 w/ 4500 miles
I dig that color scheme! Nicely done!
Looks like yer 01 is about to fall in that river!
Interesting rear top rack....
Givi for mounting a E36,360, 460 or Maxia case The bike was picked up as a demo in 2002 and not ridden much that first season. 2004 & 2005 saw the owner head to the west coast from her home in Ontario and back. Not bad for a lady who learned how to ride when she was 55 She is ready to move up, but can't find anything to move up to. I was hoping she would look at the Wee Strom, but I think she want's to stick with a Beemer. Too bad that 800ST is delayed, as I think it would be a decent bike for her
Thanks flux....the poor bike was a lame ivory color when I got it...here is the before picture.

I lived with it for one season, then tore it down and painted it last winter. I had never painted a motorcycle before, so it was slow going, but came out pretty well. I also got a Corbin saddle, added Hepco Becker engine guards, PIAA lights, and a carbon fiber dash.
It's not a river, it's the sea
Yeah, I thought I was ready to "move up" as well, but every time I hop on my Dakar I have such a great time that I can't pull the trigger. I think one more season on it, then I'll look at a 950 Adventure more seriously.
The 800 is delayed? Wonder why?
Ah, so I see....
I received my new seat this week:
Nice looking seat, Max. What are those tires?
Max, you are officially not allowed to post any more pics of that bike. It is way too cool, and makes me want to drop way too much $ on my own Dakar.
Those are the new Kenda K777 / K778 FIM enduro tires. Can't really tell you how they perform though. The front has done 600 mtrs at walking pace, and the rear is even newer.
Edit: Sorry Flux, the devil made me do it....
