If you get an old gas station be careful that you don't inherit any environmental liability. They've all leaked at some point.

Good advice. I almost bought one a few years ago but I learned of some buried tanks that the owner was not going to tell me about.

Guess that's why the guy built his own "gas station". Funny he didn't want a lift installed, I would have.

Not that big of a deal if you're buying from BIG oil, your attorney can craft the purchase agreement such that the company retains the liability of releases. If your buying it from Eddy Joe Jim Bob that's another story.

I clean the things up for a living, I'm what ya call the earths janitor:lol3

With some painting and the addition of some storage cabinets and some FOC carpet tiles, I have been able to change my garage from this .........

    Still in the planning stages.
The idea is to use an off the shelf prefab steel building as a base, then use as many recycled re-purposed materials as possible.
It will be in the Mojave, the moving sunshade will be on air plane landing gear and tract with the sun.

front is a guestroom/office, back is the service bay

Well done! It looks nice there.
Carpet tiles a good way to sort out a crappy old concrete floor. Not expensive, the insulation's useful, and sockets and screws don't roll so far.
