Looks great! Just a couple of quick question / comments:

On your retaining side, what's the height of the eave from the finished grade? If you have eave vents under there I would go and add some heavier gauge extruded steel mesh covers to your vent holes to keep critters from chewing / punching them out. The stock 1/4" wire mesh is easily defeted by many birds - ground based rodents are a lot more resourceful. If you have snow(?) you may also have drifting / water issues.

Matt, it is appx 2' from the eves to the ground on the back side, gutters have been installed front and back, the concrete retaining wall has the roof trusses sitting on it. Thanks for the comments, I'll keep a sharp eye on that area.

The prevailing theory is that he moved out all the nice cars so no one could see what he has.

Or that he did not put in the garage but that it came with the house.

One of the articles I saw on it said that the garage was part of an estate he bought. Just a rich dude without a clue wanting to look cool because he's got a bunch of toys. Meh

I read some of your earlier threads about moving east. Now that you've been there a while, can you give us a quick compare? Weather, People, Winter / Summer, Riding??

I know this is the garage thread and don't want to go too far off track...

I for one am contemplating my next move and Arizona is high on the list -- however so are the Smokey's. :lol3

    Thanks!

    Good question,

Yesterday it was 4 below up in Show Low, Az. with lots of snow on the ground. Yesterday here in the Smokey Mountains it was in the hi 60's and went for a ride on my Strada. Arizona was great, just got tired of the long cold winters up where we lived at 6,500 ft elevation. The weather here has a lot of varience, can be cold even the occasional snow, but in a week or so it will be in the 50's, 60's or even in the 70's. I am learning that the east is a little more Big Brother than the west. The roads, people and riding are second to none in this little South East corner of Tennessee, 4 miles from Georgia and 4 miles from North Carolina. I would suggest spending time visiting both areas.

I've combed thru most of the pages and lurked on this forum for quite a while and, at least for what I'm interested in, this is about as close to the perfect shop I've seen yet.

    Thanks for sharing.

This has been a long, drawn out process over the last month. Thankfully last night I finally finished cleaning up and I feel somewhat organized, of course that will all change after I start my next project!

WMRRA - very nice shop. you have no reason to have garage envy. Very clean and neat and well designed for your size. Again, Nice Job!
