It does. I had an R100RT with a broken fairing that I held together with duct tape. Yours looks much better.

Great photos. Is it a high traction surface? Does a trip across the salt leave any tell-tale corrosion behind?

It seemed to be a relatively high-traction surface. Didn't notice sliding at all, but I wasn't making any sharp turns. I wouldn't try it. Seems to be great for straight trajectories. It does get very soft if you get off the salt, which can happen if your not careful.

I washed the bike after being on the salt, so I didn't get any corrosion. But it is salt, so I would imagine it could cause problems if one didn't wash it off.

Well, worth it though. It was great speeding along the flats!! :clap

It was my first time on the Flats, so I didn't push it too much. I should say that "didn't push it" means that I took it to about 100/110 mph. Still felt like I was only doing about 60/65. Depth perception gets a little wacky when your out there. :eek1

Here's one more from Lake McConaughy outside of Ogallala, NE. One of my favorite places to go!!!

I know what you mean. I got to have a little fun on some really big dry lake beds in Nevada this past fall. 100+ mph doesn't feel nearly that fast.

OK, now I feel like I'm showing off. But I love posting pictures of the places I've been. Here's a shot at Chimney Rock, Nebraska, from a Pony Express Tour we did in 2009. Highly recommend it!!
