Hi.....You can leaf the rear brake line and pump closed , you do not have to bleed and bring it back in place. Very easy to do !

Summer of 2016: travelled with some friends into France. We camped at Le Clerjus in Les Vosges : www.motorhotel.eu/.
Later that vacation i stayed at Innsbruck in Austria en on the way back in Montmedy near Reims.
This year i want to visit Millau in France and Bardenas Reales Navarra in Spain.
In a few weeks i will pass the 200.000 km.
I have to do a little maintenance before leaving for Spain.
I have to renew the Front brake discs, frontwheel bearings and tire.
I will buy a spare fuel pump www.jt-c.com/product_info.php?info=p305_fuelpump-43mm-replacing-16141341231-incl--filter.html
and put in new fuel injectors www.jt-c.com/product_info.php?language=en&info=p14_r1100s-und-r1150xx-upgrade-set-auf-12er-einspritzventile
With the right maintenance I will try to reach the 300.000 km in abouy four years from now, i hope.
Same color as mine!!
It's nice to do the maintenance yourself.....
Wow!! nice job man!! I'll have to do it myself soon or later!!

Bought the bike end 2008, start riding it in 2009....never ever cleaned it,
just riding at work and around Europe....the rain and salt in winter did the rest.
Well maintained, it ran for 197.786 km without great problems...stil going strong !

I have an 1100gs also and love it. 114k miles, and will need to do transmission soon. Love that you do the work. I will try myself also. Here's pics of mine.

Hey, congratulations! I saw that one on Craigslist and was tempted, but right now I don't have the time, money, or space for another one. Glad to see it is in good hands.
61F today in MN - Had to get out. She fired right up, not bad after a 3 month nap.
