A little off road excursion for some back country camping in the Yukon on the same trip (coming back from AK)... I would had a picture with the tent setup, but as soon as I got my stuff in the tent, it started pouring rain... I decided to stay dry...

So that's what it looks like when the sun is up!

I went through there last year, on the way to the Alvord, at night.

Well, that means one of two things: Either you have very large balls, or a very small brain.:D

Did you know that somewhere out there in the antelope refuge is a spot that is the farthest from any Interstate highway in the lower 48 states? Not sure of the exact long. & lat. But some day I'm going to ride out there and just sit and enjoy the idea.

Maybe a little of both :lol3

I left GP around 2pm, planned on camping for the night just outside of Plush, but that's when I discovered I forgot the skeeter repellant! :eek1

Sun went down as I headed up the mountain. Don't know how I found my way, having never been through there before. I musta ran over 50 suicidal bunnies that night. Found Wach's gang at the Alvord 'round midnite:clap

On a long ride through some of the great backroads of WV, a local invited us up to the top of one of his fields; could see all 48 of the power-generating windmills along the ridge in the background.

They're barely visible through the haze--rained like crazy about two hours later. :patch

Another view of the windmill farm.

    A fun little "backroad" in WV. Didn't see any Harley's here . . . . :lol3

Finally got some time off and good weather. The route was Sunset Falls

campground, FR 41 past Mowich Butte, on to FR 41 to Stabler on Wind River Highway. Outstanding off road, outstanding V Strom :clap

    High ground near Mowich.

The junction of FR 42 and FR 41

Total challenges = Three deep, four shallow water bars from snowmelt and six negotiable downed fir trees. Not to shabby.
