The Map says it's a road but that was a bit generous. Hurricane Creek Road in the Pisgah National Forrest.

Alright......my hats off to ya taking the V down Hurricane Creek :eek1 I took my 06 KTM 950 down it once. I probably won't do that with my V, never say never, due to ground clearance issues. Got a good skid plate but it still don't need that kind of abuse. Best I recall there were multiple 2' rock ledges or better ya have to drop over. Good job on ya......Mark

Thanks. It was an experience to say the least. We were trying to get to Max Patch cause the GPS was showing Wesley Creek connecting to Max Patch road and when I got to where that should have taken place the canopy of trees blocked satellite reception. Got reception when we hit the clearing and blackberry thicket by I-40. Remember those rock ledges well. Going down was easy. The fun part was wheelieing up them on the way out.

That gray helmet to the right of the sleeping strom is my 10 year old son who thought we were never going to make it out of there. Poor kid started crying. Looking back he just laughs.

The Strom will handle a whole lot more than I thought it would.

Got to watch teh GPS route up in the mountains. Was following big cove road along teh river in Cherookee, a couple of years ago. Gps kept showing a road along the opposite side of the river, that I had never seen, after 100 yrs of fishing trips. Finally decided to check it out, and ended up on a trail through axle deep water, that was so narrow my rt side bag was hanging out over the river in several places. Forget about trying to turn around.

I have to agree with you there.
This ride was when I realized that my wee was more capable then I expected.
