Every Pass we tried was snowed in. We were trying to get over the Mtn to Ouray with no luck. They have not cleared the passes yet. But don't be fooled it was still quite the challenge. :D

How come I never see reports of anyone else drowning their Vee? I'm paranoid about water crossings now, my airbox/cylinders filled up in water only a tiny tad deeper than this. Poor air intake location means that water coming over the mudguard goes straight in there. I guess if you go VERY slowly it's less likely.

My two favourite bikes - one I have now and one I will have later, should the stars align...

good lord man, do you hate your bike?

i call that snow lucky as it keep you from trying.
no way in hell would i go down black bear on a strom.
those rock steps are gonna eat you alive.
make sure someone has your will.

if you must, hit ophir from 550 and then into t-ride and up and over imogene to ouray and buy some tck-80s.

I've had mine in water at least this deep on a regular basis crossing streams in the Rockies and never had a problem. These photos would be a typical ride around Calgary, AB.

Nope I set her straight with a vise and some channel locks. Just gotta buff out some scratches on the headlight fairing, the windshield is a tad scratched, the mirrors are bent down a tad but they still function fine. My crash bars are a little whomperjawed but that's what they're there for.

About the worst thing to come of it was my left side case was full of beer and half of em burst from all the excitement :cry . If a cop had been up there he'd probably tried to write me up based solely on what he smelled
