Lifting an early GS Adventure

    I'm looking at a GS thats been lowered. Can it be lifted again? ARe any of the lowering mods permanent (rewelding the neck or something silly)? Best method to lift it again would be.......?

    Lowering them usually takes the form of shocks and stands from a standard GS.
    I have no direct experience with this other than sitting on a 2003 that was lowered along with changing the stands.

    Easy to restore. Get GS Adv shocks and install them. Add the GSA sedestand and Centerstands (or lengthen the GS ones) and you have the height back. Same can be done to a NON-GSA.

    R1200 works on R1200. There is no real interchangeability between the R1200 and the R1150.

    In case you decided to go that way, right now I do have everything you need like both stands and both shocks in flea market.

    I was looking at a hack on the east coast that had been lowered, but the mods are too extensive to make it realistic. Combined with shipping...I'd be ahead to buy more local. Thanks for the input.
