:clap Sidecar is ordered from DMC, now I need to wait and see when we can schedule everything (installation and dropoff). :D From now until then, I live vicariously through you folks. :thumb

Bumping this again in the hopes there are some more links people can share. :thumb

This weekend I ride north to Washington to pick up my DMC sidecar for the 1150GSA. I'm super excited, can't seem to focus on anything else this week!!!

Well let's hope that you find some nice places along your way so you can give us a ride report. The west coast was our favorite part of our trip last year. If you haven't seen them make sure to do the Lost Coast and Point Perpetua. Grab a cup of coffee at the little stand at the base of the road that goes up to the point. Nothing compares.
edit- I just mapquested DMC to Hanford CA. You have an awesome choice of great places to see. Not only that, you are a writer! I expect an EPIC ride report with beautiful pictures. Make the rest of us envy every mile you have in front of you. Make us want to pay for the honor of reading your future works.

Oh yeah great, no pressure right?! :eek1 :lol3

I'm leaving Friday afternoon and hope to be up in Seattle by Monday morning. The Dude thinks I should take 5 straight up there but I'm all hell no, I want this to be a real ride! :thumb Unfortunately, I'm being a total boring-butt for the return and trailering the newly-minted hack home instead of learning how to ride the "hard" way. :deal Yeah, I'm trying to do this "right", but wouldn't it be a hoot if the bike didn't fit inside the toy hauler?

After that though, the world's my bitch!! :clap

Nooo! Think of the rest of us. Think of the poor children that might never get to see the coast. think of humanity.....

Oh poop, now you're making me want to take this puppy all the way home!! :rofl

Dude ain't gonna like this idea I can guarantee that. :thumb

Just gotta add, I just clicked in the link on your sig line MOG and realized that your ride report was one of the ones that, a year ago, got me interested in sidecars to begin with. So I blame YOU for sending me down this road!! :freaky

    You are welcome.:D
I hope you do that ride sometime though. Julie LOVED being on the right side of the rig while we rode south. She got a great view of the ocean the entire time.
There was so much to see on your coast. It seems that no matter how much time you have there never is enough time. Be safe and enjoy your new toy.

Haha well this puppy is destined to be MY rig so I don't anticipate much riding in the sidecar. Although my Dude'll get his share of practice, and if a particular section of road is super spectacular then I might give him the chance to drive me through it. :deal

I'm super excited, but enough thread-jacking.:clap Let's see some ride reports with sidecaristas! :freaky

Lol!! I asked the Dude and he said he has those days of so, dammit, he wants his road trip. :rofl:clap

Now he's trying to convince me he should fly and ride - as in, ride my bike with me in the sidecar. Hmm, maybe he should ride in...what do you call side-pillion? :thumb

And DO IT! You guys can trade off driving, and take your time, cuz your arms will get tired from using muscles you're not accustomed to.

+1,000,000 on the do it part. The stars are lined up.
I was slightly concerned about my arms prior to last year's trip. I'm 50 and in average shape and it was never an issue.
